Description of Trip

1st Day

Pick up for Cairo airport and transfer to one of the hotels:Barceló Cairo Pyramids 4 *, Hotel Swiss Nile 4*, or Hotel Holiday Inn Express 4*.

2nd Day

In the morning: visit to the pyramids of Giza. In the afternoon: a bus towards Hurghada. Housing for the night in the Sand Beach Hotel 3*.

3rd Day

Dive: A 9 o’clock departure by boat towards distinct dive points. There will be a dive in the morning and afterwards we will go to the second dive spot. After a typical meal on the boat, there will be a second dive for the day. Arrival back at port will be about 4 pm.

4th Day

Dive: A 9 o’clock departure by boat towards distinct dive points. There will a dive in the morning at the dive zone and we will go to the second dive spot. After a typical meal on the boat, there will be a second dive. Arrival back at port will be about 4 pm.

5th Day

Dive in the boat Thistlegorm, which was sunk in the WWII. Departure for the dive zone will be at 7 o’clock. The first dive will be the exterior of the boat. After the first diver there will be a typical meal on the boat and some time to relax. The second dive will be the hold, or insides of the boat. Arrival back at the port will be 5 pm.

6th Day

Dive: A 9 o’clock departure by boat towards distinct dive points. There will a dive in the morning at the dive zone and we will go to the second dive spot. After a typical meal on the boat, there will be a second dive. Arrival back at port will be about 4 pm.

7th Day:

3 options to choose from:

1) day for relaxing: relaxing body massages, sauna, and Turkish bath;

2) Safari: route through the desert in 4X4´s;

3) Shopping Day: centre of the city through typical stores.

8th Day

Return trip to the Cairo airport and flight .

For fans of shipwrecks, we have planned a dive day at Thistlegorm, one of the most interesting sunken ships in the world. This English freighter, transporting military armaments, was intercepted by a German plane and sunk in 1941. In its holds there are still trucks, motorcycles, canons, bullets, rubber boots, airplane wings, and a pair of electric trains that have been immersed in this boat that are unique and unforgettable.

The variety of the dive sites in the Hughada zone makes this trip a privileged destination for everyone that wants to take the Advanced Open Water Diver course or specialize in diving of sunken boats. A day of history we pass visiting the famous pyramids of Giza and/or the Museum of Cairo.
